Description
Hoya Krimson Queen is a cultivar of the Hoya plant, which is a tropical vining plant native to Southeast Asia and Australia. It is also known as Hoya carnosa variegata ‘Krimson Queen’ or Hoya carnosa ‘Krimson Queen’ due to its variegated leaves.
The leaves of Hoya Krimson Queen are green with creamy-white variegation and pink-red edges, much like the Hoya Krimson Princess. However, the variegation on the leaves of the Krimson Queen is more prominent and shows up in larger areas of the leaves. Additionally, the edges of the leaves are more ruffled, giving the plant a unique look.
Hoya Krimson Queen grows as a trailing vine and can produce clusters of sweet-smelling pink or white flowers that resemble stars. The flowers typically bloom in the summer and can last for several weeks.
Hoya Krimson Queen is an easy-to-care-for plant and does well in a bright, indirect light environment. It prefers a well-draining soil mix and watering should be done thoroughly but infrequently, allowing the soil to dry out slightly before watering again. The plant can tolerate low light conditions, but it may not bloom as often.
